Nachdem ich einige Karten für diverse Burgendiplome erstellt habe, wollte ich auch mal eine Burg aktivieren. So ging es am Mittwochvormittag Richtung Heimsheim mit meinem Sohn Frederik zur Burg Ehrenberg (WCA DL-01661, WBB-18002). Als „Lager“ diente ein Feldweg in der unmittelbaren Nähe. Es wurde schnell der Fiberglassmast mit einem Dipol für 40 Meter aufgestellt und der Icom IC-706 angeschlossen. Wir haben ein Dutzend Kontakte mit überwiegend Stationen aus DL gehabt. Und sind dann weiter zum Deutschordenschloss Kirchhausen (WCA DL-01657, WBB-17003). Als eingeübtes Team ging der Aufbau der Station wieder recht schnell. Von hieraus haben wir etwa zwei Dutzend Verbindungen gemacht, und es kamen auch einige EU Station ins Log. Leider blieb nicht mehr Zeit, da nachmittags Gäste zu Hause erwartet wurden.

On this occasion AGCW issues a special award for radio amateurs and short wave listeners world wide.

Eligible contacts – CW/A1A contacts in of the calendar year 2013. (Note: A1A means that machine decoders are excluded)

There are 3 award classes: gold, silver, and bronze.

GOLD – Work/hear 222 members of AGCW and 2 AGCW club stations

SILVER – Work/hear 111 members of AGCW and 1 AGCW club station.

BRONZE – Work/hear at least 22 AGCW member stations and form the string “AGCWDLMORSENFINDICHGUT” using the LAST character of their call letters.

There are many HAM clubs that put out members awards for the work with members. In order to facilitate the fulfillment of the conditions I have implemented a new feature. The new feature checks your log with a club membership list and shows the members you have worked. The generated results can be saved for further processing as CSV. I will try to update this list continuously.

Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich eine Karte für das Württemberger Burgen-Diplom (WBB), basierend auf Google Maps, veröffentlicht. Da ich nicht weit von der Granze zu Baden wohne, sind natürlich im badischen einige interessante Burgen und Schlösser in der Nahe von meinem QTH. Um einen schnellen Überblick über die Burgen und Schlösser, die für das Badisches Burgendiplom (BBD) gültig sind, zu bekommen, habe ich diese auch in Google Maps markiert. Zu finden ist die Karte hier:

I programmed a new function with that you can embed your personal DX calendar on an external site. An example can be seen on QRZ.com.

There are two ways to integrate your personal DX calendar. The first is the iframe HTML tag, which I will explain shortly. And the second option is a wrapper, if you use a CMS like Joomla, WordPress …

To include the DX Calendar via an iframe, you have to get your ID from your account. These are found under the menu item “Profile”.

Now you replace the ID in the following script with the ID of you:

Um das Finden von Burgen, welche für das Württemberger Burgen-Diplom (WBB) gültig sind, habe ich eine Karte mit Markierungen der Burgen erstellt. Neben dem Namen der Burg wird dort auch die WBB als auch die COTA-DL Nummer angezeigt. Näheres zum Diplom könnt ihr auf der offiziellen Seite des Württemberger Burgen-Diploms, die von Stefan, DC2SF, betreut wird.

More and more DXpeditions use Wordpress to advertise and to show their information about upcoming activities on the Internet. So far there is no Wordpress plugin or widget that allows you to upload log data to check the QSOs. There are several external solutions, but they can´t be integrated in wordpress.

I developed a plugin/widget that meets this requirement exactly. You can now upload the log data as ADIF so the QSO data is now ready for search. Of course, you can setup the view on the QSO data according to your personal needs. You can also define multiple call signs and references.

Installation

Download the ADIF Log search widget –> LogSearch 1.0c (01.11.2011)
Choose the “Plugins” menu in your WordPress backend
Choose “Plugin upload” to upload the ADIF Log Search widget
Installation starts automatically
Go to “Plugins” menu to activate the widget.

You should now find “Logbook” in your menu of your wordpress backend

Get the widget to your frontend

Choose “widget” in the “Design” menu
Drag the “ADIF Log Search” widget into your sidebar

Personalize your view in the “Logbook” menu.

Upload

Upload your ADIF Log data in the “Upload” menu

If OP Call data in your ADIF file is defined, there is no need to fill in the call sign in the form. If not you have to define a call sign

Fill in a reference like DXCC Entity, IOTA, WFF, SOTA… or choose an existing one

Upload and transfer your data by choosing „Upload Log“. Log data is now ready for search.

References

In the “References” menu, you can edit, delete and create new references

Books

The „Books“ menu manages your logbooks.

Every reference has its own logbook. Sometimes you might want to expend your logbook by QSO data – like it is used by most DXpeditions, who update their QSO data for the QSO search/check daily.

You can do this by Choosing “Append” in the “Action” menu. To delete a complete logbook choose “Delete” from the “Action” menu.
